George's Strait discography has always been consistently good. This CD was never much in light, but it is excellent, with even a few gems like the cajun-flavored "Adalida", and the moving "Down Louisiana Way" which were not included in his fabulous box-set. Buy and listen. Paul LeBoutillier
The first thing I noticed was this was the first Strait album with lyrics included in the liner notes, which was nice of them to finally do.
My favorite songs on this one are Nobody Has To Get Hurt and I'll Always Be Loving You. Both have solid melodies and choruses that practically force you to sing along. Nice, creative idea on Nobody. Lead On is very The Chair-ish, as both do great jobs at examining the initial stages of a relationship. You Can't Make A Heart delivers an impressive and overlooked message, and I Met A Friend relates a realistic scenario to the meltdown of a couple.
Adalida and Big One are songs that start to get away from him a few times, with Adalida being perhaps the only substance-free song on the album. George's weakest songs have always been at least listenable and above average. This applies to What Am I Waiting.
Overall, this is a solid album, but lacks the one gotta-have, instant-classic tune that many of Strait's other albums possess.
I Like This Album. It Was Released In The Fall Of 1994. The Lead-Off Single "The Big One" Went Strait To Number 1. So Didn't "You Can't Make A Heart Love Somebody". The Title Track Is Also Another Love Balled. Buy This CD Today.
I really enjoy George Straits music and I do intend to get more of them as soon as I can

has long been a top-tier choice in the encoding world. Known for pushing the limits of the x265 (HEVC) codec, these releases aim to deliver "Blu-ray-like" quality at a fraction of the original file size—often bringing a full 720p or 1080p episode down to a manageable 150MB–300MB. The Good: Efficiency Meets Clarity Impressive Compression:
Smaller file sizes mean less buffering, especially when streaming over Wi-Fi or Plex/Emby to remote locations. They are ideal for users with limited data plans or slower home internet speeds. 3. Excellent Quality-to-Size Ratio
If you’ve been exploring compact development boards or industrial embedded controllers, you may have come across the . While not as widely known as Raspberry Pi or Arduino, the MicroMVK line has carved out a niche for applications requiring a balance of low power consumption, moderate processing capability, and flexible I/O. micromkv series
Developed as an open-standard project, the Matroska Multimedia Container can hold an unlimited number of video, audio, picture, or subtitle tracks within a single file. This flexibility makes it the perfect vehicle for compressed series because it allows encoders to include: High-efficiency video streams Compressed multi-language audio tracks Multiple subtitle options (SRT or ASS formats) Chapter markers for easy episode navigation The Science of Extreme Compression: HEVC and AV1
The MicroMKV series is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but it perfectly serves specific niches: Ideal Use Case
Here is what each component means:
MicroMKV encodes do not use a flat bitrate. Instead, they rely on multi-pass Variable Bitrate (VBR) or Constant Rate Factor (CRF) encoding. In simple terms: ✅ Test 1 episode → check file size & visual quality
Platforms are adapting to this trend quickly. For instance, the creator of E! Entertainment Television announced the upcoming launch of Verza TV , the first United States-based micro-drama streaming service. Concurrently, tools like Micro-TV on Google Play cater to international audiences with personalized, highly optimized episodic content. Managing and Optimizing TV Series for Local Storage
However, there are also some disadvantages:
If your goal is to build a massive, organized, and budget-friendly library of your favorite television history, upgrading to micromkv is one of the smartest digital media decisions you can make.
– Historically the most common codec used by Micromkv. H.264 compresses video at roughly half the bitrate of older codecs while maintaining comparable quality. Standard releases often appear as 480p.HDTV.x264-Micromkv , reflecting the group's commitment to high-efficiency encoding. A deeper breakdown of AV1 vs
Larger files require massive bandwidth to stream across a local network or download from cloud storage. For individuals with metered internet connections or slower broadband speeds, downloading a 10 GB file is highly impractical. Micromkv files can be downloaded in minutes and stream flawlessly over weak Wi-Fi connections without buffering. 3. Preservation of HD Features
While a traditional 1080p "scene" release might target a bitrate of 8,000 to 10,000 kbps, a micromkv version might operate at 1,500 to 2,500 kbps. To the average eye on a standard monitor, the difference is often negligible. Playback Requirements
This modern codec is roughly 50% more efficient than the older H.264 standard, allowing for better quality at lower bitrates.
