Additionally, the developers have explicitly stated that they are building Referee to “make it more difficult for cheaters to find and exploit parts of the game”. As detection improves, using a bypass will become nearly impossible in the near future.
A simpler, user-mode technique involves disguising Cheat Engine. The 508 Bypass, for instance, instructed users to rename Cheat Engine to notepad++.exe to evade basic process name checks. However, modern iterations of EAC and Referee use behavioral analysis and checksums, making simple name-changes ineffective.

EAC operates at a deep level of your operating system (Ring 0). Cheat Engine normally operates at the user level (Ring 3).
